What is a winter solstice – and why does many troublers of warfare – financial crises occur during this season

The winter solstice is the point of time in winter (December) when the night, (darkness) becomes longer than the day time, (being the darkest time of the year which falls in the winter seasons of solstice).
For example; in the European country called Sweden, night time occurs around 14: pm in the afternoon.
The winter solstice; the season when the energies of the earth are renewed and reborn.
The winter solstice usually occurs on December 21 to 25 each year in the Northern Hemisphere.
In some cultures this season is referred to as a time of rebirth, the death of certain things, (the death representing the darkness), and the rebirth of new things, (the rebirth representing the shifting back into the time when the days starts to move towards the state of becoming equal with the night).
The troubles of famine, death, lack, poverty etc, which took place in the solstice season of winter.
Due to the famine, bad fortune (shortage of food, lack, financial crises, death and the starvation) that used to occur during winter times, the sorcerer and witches decided to declare the season to be a time of sacrificing to the pagan gods and demons of the dark world or the underworld.
