Many people do not know this, but the food you eat and your lifestyle has a pretty big part on why you might not be sleeping so well.
Obviously, there are people out there that have medical conditions and should get some assistance wither for their insomnia or sleep apnea, but if you are someone who is just trying to get a better night sleep consistently, then here are some ways to do it naturally.
Which food to eat and which food to avoid:
You can try eating bananas, dates, figs, milk, nut butter, whole grain crackers or yogurt. These are foods high in tryptophan, which can promote sleep. You want to make sure that you are eating these foods or meals in the evening at least 2-3 hours before you go to bed. You should avoid any food or drinks with caffeine from noon on.
Your lifestyle should consist of:
A bedtime routine, that you try to stick to as much as possible. This means to get ready for bed and get to bed at the same time every day. Make sure that you consistently do this, it is very vital to your sleeping success.
Taking a hot shower or bath 1-2 hours before following asleep can help your body and mind calm down after a full day.
Exercising within three hours of going to bed can prevent you from falling asleep, so make sure you exercise earlier in the day.
Try dimming the lights an hour before you start heading to bed.
Make sure that you make your room as dark as possible, sometimes even the littlest of light can bother someone’s sleeping abilities. So take out all distractions, like computers, televisions, and phones. article from http://www.mysleepproblems.org/
