The UN was founded in 1945 after World War II to replace the League of Nations, to stop wars between countries, and to provide a platform for dialogue.
The United Nations headquarters resides in international territory in New York City, with further main offices at Geneva, Nairobi, and Vienna.
The UN peacekeepers—soldiers and military officers, civilian police officers and civilian personnel come from many countries.
There purpose is to monitor and observe peace processes that emerge in post-conflict situations and assist ex-combatants in implementing the peace agreements they have signed.
The UN (peace keeper) is an activity which aims to create the conditions for lasting peace. It is distinguished from both peacebuilding and peacemaking.
Which means that the UN peace keeping forces carry weapons but the are not allowed to use them or engage in battle.
UN peace keepers send there troops to a nation where there is war, after that nation has entered in agreement with the UN.
In every place where there is a conflict (war) among people, there is also riches, wealth, a desire of wanting to gain freedom, and a discovery of natural resources which some times becomes the cause of the conflict.
