The word intoxicating originates from the word called “toxic”.
The word “toxic“ means: pertaining to, affected with, or caused by a toxin or poison: a toxic condition.
Acting as or having the effect of a poison; poisonous: a toxic drug.

Toxic or toxins is a kind of substance or information which is designed and mixed, so that it may make the person that drinks it to loose his or her ability of natural common sense and moral behavior.
To make some body do things which goes against the nature of his natural moral behavior, (to control, to manipulate, to influence someone using the art of propaganda, to do witchcraft in the form of science).
Leviticus 10:8-9 says one should not drink intoxicating drinks, so that he/she may be able to separate (deficient) the truth from a lie, the unholy from the holy and the unclean from the clean.
