The ancient history of making medicine out of herbs (plants) developed from the art of spiritualism. 


Every culture which depended on herb medicine had it’s own way and special style of making medicine. 

And each style of making medicine out of herbs derived from the inspiration and spiritual belief where the priests of a certain culture had to consult their gods for the prescription of their medicine. 


In the Hebraic life style people had to consult God’s word for prescription and making of their medicine.

During the regime of the Greek and Roman empire, the art of making medicine from Herbs started to mix up with the pharmacology ideas.


In the period of the scientific revolution, the scientific movement in Europe began to strongly reject the methods of making medicine from herbs, and instead they began to embrace pharmacology.


Around the late 18th and 19th century, the European academy and university of pharmacy began to strongly implement their pharmacological ideas into the art of medicine making, supply and the trading of medicine. 


Rudolf Buchein and Oswald Schmiedeberg were some of the European pharmacologists that pioneered the scientific art of pharmacology over Europe.


The Nations which had the tradition of making medicine out of herbs (plants), most of these nations were colonized by Europe, and through the European colonization, many of them were forced to stop making their medicine from herbs, so that they may start to import pharmaceutical medication from Europe.


Today China is still one of the countries that has been able to preserve it’s cultural art of making medicine out of herbs from being replaced by the European pharmaceutical medication.


In the 2009, the Codex alimemtarius announced that all medicine and foods traded on the international trade market must be in harmony, and approved by codex alimemtarius and big pharmacy

In the year 2011 all traditional herb medicines were declared to be banned in the EU (European Union region).
