An academy (Greek Ἀκαδημία) is an institution of higher learning, research, or honorary membership.
The name traces back to Plato’s school of philosophy, founded approximately 385 BC at Akademia, a sanctuary of Athena, the goddess of wisdom and skill, north of Athens, Greece. (Academy-academic).
The Academy was a place of philosophical dialogues, and the first institution of higher learning in the Western world, where Socrates, the philosophers, the nobles, the politicians of the western world learned their skills of leadership and oratory.
Plato the founder of the academy established the laws of the Academy on the foundation of worshiping wisdom attributed to Zeus.
Quote; “the western academic knowledge must be free from spiritual mysteries, traditional ideologies, religious beliefs, and the concept of God“, so that it may be able to express the human liberty of free expression which derives from the senses, intellect, feelings and humanism.
The academy was also combined with gymnasium, (the worship of the naked human body), alchemist, hermetic, science etc
The ancient greek and roman Socrates, philosophers, politician and nobles could go as far as researching and investigating the mythologies and knowledge which comes from other cultures, traditions and religions, for the sake of acquiring the inspiration that they needed for their oratory.
But when it came to their oral teachings, academic studies and scrutinizing of the wisdom they had received (stolen) from other sources, they began to erase and to eliminate God out of their academic studies.
This also went as far as erasing (taking away) the original offspring (culture, tradition) from where the knowledge derived.
The wisdom taught by the academy was supposed to bare witness of the brilliance skills of the speaker, and not to refer to the source where it originates from.
In the speaking and sharing of these insights and the ideas, the Socrates, and philosophers were perceived as the most wise and brilliant people, classified to be in the class of Rhetoric.
The Academy was instituted to turn the students into professionals – career owners that boast in the pride of their Academic studies and achievements.
The Academy was a place where wisdom was not supposed to be attributed to the Hebrew God, but rather-to the power of the human intellect, and the brilliance of the socrates and the philosophers that taught it.
