The party president of (UFA) Beti Olive Kamya’s Speech delivered on 50th independence of Uganda in stockholm came with urgency and accuracy.
Beti Olive Kamya said; the centralized power which is given to the presidents in the state house in Entebbe, transforms them into corrupted beings.
The state house was built by the British, and it was the place where Britain’s wealth and riches stolen from Uganda were transported first, before they were taken to Britain.
The state house itself still contains the negative influence and organized agenda of the British colonialism. Every President that sits in the state house in Entebbe, will become the reflection of his colonial masters in Britain.
We need to restructure the centralized power which is given to the president, and begin to distribute authority to the leaders that are elected and chosen by the people via the Federal agreement that was abolished by president Obote.
Centralized power given to the president, weakens the people’s inner ability and potential, and it also transforms presidents into dictators.
