In some cultures dancing is used as an expression that exposes or reveals someone’s soul or inner desires to her soul mate, thus helping the person that wants to get married into the realm of being able to choose the right spouse for his marriage.

Judges 21:23 says:… While the girls were out dancing, each man from the tribe of Benjemite came out to choose a wife for himself. Then they returned to their inheritance and rebuilt the towns and settled in them.

Dancing is also used as an expression of worship towards God as in Exodus 15:20-21. Miriam and the daughters of Jephthah danced to express God’s supremacy.

Some pagan cultures use dancing as means to call upon demons, spirits and they also use it as an art of worshiping their many gods.

There are many types of dancing styles which pertain to the different cultures that are in the earth, hip-hop dance, salsa dance, Erotic dance, Hebrew dance, tango dance, classical ballet dance, flamenco dance, aerobic dance, break dance, jive dance etc..
