Science fiction film is a film genre that uses science fiction: speculative, science-based depictions of phenomena that are not necessarily accepted by mainstream science.

Science fiction collected ideas derive from different spheres of life which governs the unseen world or subconscious mental ability of the human beings on earth.

Things which appears and influences the people’s dreams, the historical stories of mythologies, supernatural events, alien worlds, futuristic elements; such as spacecraft, robots, cyborgs, interstellar space travel or other technologies, are some of the fields of inspirations that are exploited and exposed in science fiction films. 

Before man was able to travel to moon, silent science fiction movie like “A trip to the moon” was released in 1902 to make the human understanding that the “trip to moon” can become a reality.

Science fiction movies depicts and transforms futuristic events and supernatural events into realistic moving pictures. (Bringing the hidden supernatural and futuristic events that controls the human subconscious, into realistic moving cinematic pictures).

Science fiction films have often been used to focus on political or social issues, and to explore philosophical issues like the human condition.
