In the month of December (winter time), is a season of celebrating Chanukah.
It takes a period of nine months, from the first month of the Hebrew calendar (God’s calendar), to the ninth month when the Jews celebrate Chanukah (Feast of Lights or dedication).
During this Feast of Lights; a celebration of eight days, the Jews light a menorah lamp stand which is made up of nine candle lights. Each candle light on that menorah represents a Hebrew month on God’s calendar.
Now! My question is; how does this menorah lamp stand with nine candles relate to our spiritual life today?
You see; it takes a woman nine months before she gives birth, when you count from the time when she conceived that baby in her womb.
Doctors have discovered that; from the feast of Passover (spring time), which falls in the first month called Nissan, to the Feast of Lights, which falls in the ninth month called Kislev on God’s calendar, the human body and the world its self goes into a process of spiritual transformation (psychological development) or darkness.
The process of this psychological changes begins during the celebration of passover.
