The word smart is made up of 5 letters & each letter stands for something:
1: Smart =
State what you will do in writting, use actions words that relates easily to your understanding.
Because what you write down will finally become the things you are prompted to do and fulfill.
2: Measurable =
Provide a way to evaluate, accountability, use metrics or data targets, let the costs, numerical countings be within the means of what you can afford or be accountable for.
Do not make promises or aim at buying or making decisions that you can not be accountable for.
3: Attainable =
Within your scope, or ability.
Possible to accomplish, fulfil or attain. Avoid having your goals in spoken terminologies that you do not practice, understand or are able to attain
4: Realistic or Relevant =
Makes sense within your understanding of your physical sensual senses, job setting etc, so that you are able to practically do what you need to do
5: Timely =
State when you will get it done, be specific on date or time frame
SMART – Have or make 1: Specific, 2: Measurable, 3: Agreed upon, 4: Realistic and 5: Timely – deadline decisions.
Smart goal settings which brings about life improvement, business prospect etc, are always done and successfully fulfilled in an environment of two people to start with,
and then the number grows as the team becomes more skillful at the fulfilment of their goals.
This is what is called agreement or to agree with someone upon a subject.
Matthew 18:19:
“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.
In such a setting their is a giver (mentor, giver, Teacher, one who inspires, encourages, motivates etc), and then a reciever (one who wants to bring his/her goals into reality).
Your smart goals must have a partner who you agree with, this is something that people always miss.
We live a generation where individualism is so much empowered that people would rather do things by themselves.
IF you want to affectively achieve your smart goals, you must also be willing to listen, to learn, to take in information, share ideas with, ask for advice, investigate and analyse your intentions via the person who is in partnership, companion or agreement with your smart goals.
