Righteousness – righteous

Righteousness (also called rectitude) is “the quality of being morally right or justifiable.”
It can also be considered synonymous with “rightness”.
Righteousness is a phenomenon or state or condition of: resembling or displaying the nature of moral, good, correct, true, factual, excellent, just, virtuous, natural, morally upright, correct for situations, balanced, faithful, honest, upright, good, to reflect integrity in one’s character, and honorable being or being in such a state.
Righteous derives from the Hebrew word called tzedek or sadiq which means “justice” or “righteousness”.
The word tzedek also means the one who uses his generosity, good deeds, moral values and sacrificial lifestyle to please God, to inspire, to uplift, to give justice, and to sustain-ably maintain the holy status of the environment he/she lives in via those godly deed (Mitzvah).
To be in a state of right standing with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob
It is a concept that can be found in Dharmic traditions and Abrahamic traditions as a theological concept.
For example, from various perspectives in Christianity, Judaism, and Islam it is considered an attribute that implies that a person’s actions are justified, and can have the connotation that the person has been “judged” or “reckoned” as leading a life that is pleasing to God.
