Career – what is the meaning of the word career

Career is defined by the Oxford English Dictionary as a person’s “course or progress through life (or a distinct portion of life)”.
It can also pertain to an occupation or a profession that usually involves special training or formal education, and is considered to be a person’s lifework.
A profession for which one trains and which is undertaken as a permanent calling.
The etymology of the term Career comes from the m-French word carriere (“road, racecourse”) which in turn, comes from the Latin word “(via) cararia” (track for wheeled vehicles), which originated from the Latin word carrus” which means “wagon”,
– thus making a person who has a career to be a wagon which carries something that belongs to the designer of their career.
Every career is designed by those who have put together the academic intetions, qualifications, motives and aim of that career.
Forexample; a qualified doctor’s career is owned by those who tax it.
In the realm of economics; a doctor is reckoned and recognized as a career (wagon) classified in the professional of a doctor.
His ability of working or energies that enables him to do work, is owned and regulated by an industrial stock owner on the stock market.
Every person who owns a career, is also owned by the career that he owns.
Those who are career driven are controled and stimulated by the energy of benign envy, whereas entrepeneurs and social entrepreneurs who deals with the development of societies and communities are driven by philanthropic ideas.
