Freethought is a philosophical viewpoint that holds opinions should be formed on the basis of logic, reason and empiricism and not authority, tradition, or other dogmas.
The cognitive application of freethought is known as “freethinking”, and practitioners of freethought are known as “freethinkers.
Thus, freethinkers strive to build their opinions on the basis of facts, scientific inquiry, and logical principles developed via the free expression of humanism.
Free thinking must be independent of any logical fallacies or the intellectually limiting effects of authority. In this case; the biblical principles which structures the moral values of life were also considered a dogma of limitations.
The term free-thinker emerged toward the end of the 17th century in England to describe those who stood in opposition to the institution of the Church, and of literal belief in the Bible.
The expression of Free will (“do what thou will”) was the catalyst of the theory of freethinking.
Free-thinking was used to give the western society the right to express themselves without the restraint of parental guidance, religion, moral guidance or one’s tradition, which in it’s end or goal was to bring the people under the influence of freethinking which derived from the mainstream art of immorality, rebellion against the moral structure of God, humanism and the desire of wanting to make the sythenstic scientific teachings of the western scientists as the main principle that governs society.
As the western society and the western colonized society becomes more receptical towards the art of freethinking (accepting it and not questioning it), this enables the products of the western scientists, products like; pharmacutical drugs, genetically modified products, synthesis, artificial society, artificial intelligency, genetically modified forests, the new world order etc, to become more accepted and tolerated
