Horizontal gene transfer (HGT) refers to the transfer of genes between organisms in a manner other than traditional reproduction. Such as the practice done via cloning, cross breeding, genetic modification.
In the Hebrew bible, such activities were forbidden due to the corruption and the altering of nature that they can cause.
For example; a lot of pig genes have been transferred into other type of foods, gelatin candies, etc for the sake of developing craving lusts and desires that creates an appetite that makes people addicted to sweet things, fat foods, bloody meat, and the immoral behaviors of having uncontrollable sexual passions.
The biblical Jewish law in the Torah which forbids such activities declares; human being were created in the image of God.
When a human being desires to practice horizontal gene transfer, it’s because his intentions and motives are being driven by the a negative a desire of wanting to scientifically create a genetic nature that is contrary from God’s truth or moral values.
The Horizintal genetic transfer is different from organ transplantation.
