The Limbic system

The limbic system (or Paleomammalian brain) is a complex set of brain structures that lies on both sides of the thalamus, right under the cerebrum.
It includes the hippocampus, amygdalae, anterior thalamic nuclei, septum, limbic cortex and fornix, which seemingly support a variety of functions including emotion, behaviors, motivation, long-term memory, and olfaction.
It appears to be primarily responsible for our emotional life, and has a lot to do with the formation of memories.
In the limbic system, the emotions which governs one’s life are stored up, and transformed into electrical impulse. Limbic system can easily limit a person’s actions to the feelings and emotional state of his or her negative physical experiences.
People who are controlled by the emotional status of their limbic system will always avoid new ideas, visions, law of moral structure and inspirations which are not related to their previous experiences.
Scientific discovery declares that; when a person goes through a bad experience or trauma of rape, accident, child molest, terror, prostitution, that person’s limbic system will become the dominant control panel In the brain, which preserves those bad experience,
thus leading to the act of being controlled by one’s emotions.
Such victims will always resist new ideas, visions, revelations, and they will also find it hard to trust and let go of their past bad experiences.
Children who have been abused sexually can also suffer from mental illness that hinders them from being able to learn new things, to express themselves and to overcome the emotional state of low self-esteem.
The limbic system is also responsible maintaining the human state of narcissism.
