The day of Pentecost was the day when God poured out the Holy Spirit upon the twelve Apostles in Jerusalem, which enabled them to speak in many tongues (or tongues) as it is written in Acts 2:
This same day which fell in the 3rd (hebrew month called “Sivan”), was also the same season when the destraction of the building of the tower of Babel took place, due to the state of human hubris or self arrogance.
It is written in Genesis 11:1-7 that the activation of many languages or tongues which took place in the ancient kingdom of Nimrod, caused a confusion that stopped the building of the tower of Babel.
Genesis 11:9
Therefore its name is called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.
The Tower of Babel was built under the authority of the man called Nimrod who decided to rebel against God’s leadership so that he may exalt himself above God’s will and purpose for His creation.
Babel is the name used in the Hebrew Bible for the city of Babylon.
Babel being the state of hubris, self-arrogance or pride which is caused by the psychological disorder called “schizophrenia“, thus making one’s ability of speech to speak forms of words that doesn’t make sense.
The word; babbla or bla bla (to speak nonsense) derives from the word “Babel”.
