It all started in the end of 2011 when när Jeanette Ngabo, Faith Ngabo, Flimpoman (Alex Ngabo) and Renee Ntege was at a hip hop workshop and got inspiration to write a song text. we wrote only a few lines that day.

Flimpoman had been in England and got some riddin´ms from there, and Jeanette choose one of the instrumentals and started to write together with Faith and her friend Omeima.

We started to record a version when Faith and Omeima were rapping and Flimpoman sang the chorus and his verse he had written. 

I the middle of 2012 we met the singer Nasteho from Somaliska kvinnoföreningen, wanted to record music and said she had a song text going like this…Tensta äääärrrr vår framtid, er framtid… (Tensta issss our future, your future)…

Jeanette said, why dont we add that chorus togeether with our song that we already have. the children came and sang what we had written to Nasteho and we changed it a bit and put in Nastehos chorus instead of the one we had, she wrote her verse, MR Mo aka Moses Ngabo recorded the vocals and mixed the song and booom!!! The song was done!!!

Barbara Ngabo came and listened to the song and added the creativity to the end of the song.

So the song text writers are: (Alex Ngabo) Flimpoman, Jeanette Ngabo, Faith Ngabo , Omeima S Tahir, Hooyada Calanka Nasteho Cabdi and Barbara Ngabo.

In Autumn 2013 we recorded the video for “Tensta är vår framtid” (which was also edited by Moses Ngabo) in different places in Tensta and we also did clips in Jobbgaraget together with the organisation Tenstas framtid.

The 5th of December 2013 we had a release party in Kulturhuset Tensta träff, look at the pictures here…
