The story of Purim reveals the commitment, the faith and the trust that Esther (hebrew name-Hadasah) had towards her God and her mentor Mordacaih.
In the midst of her fears, she chose to stand up for the human rights of her nation (Jewish people).
The time when the enemy of the Jews had decided to destroy and annihilate the whole nation, Esther was brave enough to accept her fate, which was used by God to retaliate the evil of the enemies of Jews upon their own head.
According to the rabbinic teaching; Purim represents the Hebrew letter called “Mem”, which stands for the numerical value of number 40.

In the kabalah teaching; number 40 is also the number that heaven (heavenly court) uses to count before the announcing of someone’s soul mate is declared.
