1 The word annul means; to make a law, effect of a drug, force of an energy or something ineffective, void or useless.
: to reduce to nothing : obliterate, to nullify, to cancel, to declare invalid an official agreement or contract of debt.

: to make ineffective or inoperative : neutralize <annul the drug’s effect>
To make the body ineffective towards the effect of drugs, alcohol, pornography, sugar etc.
<He has been delivered from the addiction of smoking, the nicotine of tobacco doesn’t have any effect over his body any longer>
: to declare or make legally invalid or void <wants the marriage annulled>
Examples of ANNUL
Annul is the state in which a legislated law enforced upon a group of people, nation or state becomes legally invalid, expires or looses it’s authoritative power over a certain group of people.
Annul; The psychological developments which occurs during the age of an era.
During the the captivity of the Jews in Egypt, the law which enslaved the Israelites (Jews) was annulled when they kept the feast of Passover.
The God of the Hebrew uses the season of Passover to activate the spiritual presences which plays the role of annulling the negative craving desires, negative energies of temptations, addictions, poverty, debt etc into the earthly environment as it is written in Isaiah 28:18.
