Afro beat – What does the word Afro beat mean

The drum beating or the type of pop music or urban music which derives it’s inspiration and instrumental structure from the mother land of Africa.
The type of music which is inspired by the rhythmic drum beating or music structure, originating it’s roots from Africa.
Afro beat or rhythmic type of music has emerged forth from the different parts of the world where the black race or descendants of Africa have been scattered.
In places like North America (USA), the art of Hip hop, Jazz, RMB music was brought into existence by the African Americans.
In different places where the Africans dwelt after their scattering through slave trade, in that same location or part of the world, there emerged forth a type of music genre which suited the social life experience that they lived in.
There are different types of music genre which have been inspired by the rhythm of Afro (African) beat: music genre like: dancehall, Salsa, Samba, Reggae, Jazz, Hip hop, RMB, funk, merenque music, Rock n roll, Dancehall, etc.
The word Afro beat was coined by an African artiste called Kuti from Nigeria.
