Envy is a the feeling of wanting to have what someone else has.
To have a feeling of resentment, covetousness or hatred against someone’s success or blessings.
plural envies: Envy is also known as the evil eye.
The eye that looks at the blessing, wealth and achievements of another, and in exchange; the one with an evil eye (envy) chooses to resent, to covet, to compete, to hate and to despise.
Bertrand Russell said that envy was one of the negative emotion which causes unhappiness in people’s lives.
Not only is the envious person rendered unhappy by his envy, but they also wish to inflict curses of misfortune on others.
Russell also believed that “envy” was a driving force behind the movement towards democracy, and as the energy of envy increased in the social frame work of the western culture, the endurance of it achieved a more just social system via democracy.
Through the psychological disorder called “narcissism“, and the democratic right given to narcissist behaviors, this is where envy gets it’s legal right into the social system of democracy.
Individual with narcissistic personality disorder are often envious of others or believe others are envious of them.

The negative emotion of envy always leads people into the act of doing witchcraft, casting evil spells, speaking evil, competing, cursing, stealing, discriminating, robbing, and spreading lies or malice against the one that they envy.
However, psychologists have recently suggested that there may be two types of envy: 1: malicious envy and 2: benign envy—benign envy being proposed as a type of motivational force.
In the Book of Genesis envy is said to be the motivation behind Cain murdering his brother, Abel, as Cain envied Abel because God favored Abel’s sacrifice over Cain’s.
