Christmas or Christmas Day (Old English: Crīstesmæsse, meaning “Christ’s Mass”) is an annual religious and cultural holiday commemorating the the birth of Jesus Christ, celebrated generally on December 25 by billions of people around the world.
Christmas is a civil holiday in many of the world’s nations, is celebrated culturally by pagans, non-Christians, and Christians.
The festival it’s self originates from the ancient pagan customs of celebrating the birth of the sun god, which was commemorated during the winter solstice.
During the regime of the Roman empire, the Romans celebrated a winter solstice festival know as Saturnalia, which was a prototype of the ancient Babylonian pagan festival that commemorated the birth of the sun god.
The pagan festival of Saturnalia was eventually renamed and given a new name called Christmas, so that it may suit and also include the Christians into the celebration of the sun god.
The activities of the festival were designed for the sake of motivating the people into the act of spending their money on christmas wild parties, buying of idols, etc.
Also read the article called Saturnalia, because most of the activities of present giving, money spent on the immoral activities which occurs around the season of Christmas etc, all derive their origin from the festival of Saturnalia…
The season of Christmas is also the same season when a lot of darkness or troubles of darkness are released over the earth…
