Answer: The false god Tammuz is mentioned in the book of Ezekiel, and his symbol was the sign of the cross.
In (Ezekiel 8:14) it is written:
The prophet describes a vision he had, saying the Lord “brought me to the entrance of the north gate of the house of the LORD, and I saw women sitting there, mourning the god Tammuz”
God calls the idolatrous practice of weeping for Tammuz a “detestable” thing, made even worse in that it was happening at the temple in Jerusalem.
Tammuz was the son of Nimrod.
After the death of Nimrod; it is said that he appeared to his wife in a form of a spirit and impregnated her with a child. And the mother Innan (Astarte, Ishatar, Eastre) called the child “Tammuz”.
When God expelled Adam and Eve from the garden of Eden, the promise from God was that; God will send forth His son, born of a virgin woman, who will became the Messiah that will restore and bring back Adam’s children into the garden of Eden.
So this story was told by Adam to his children orally, and through time it was passed down from one generation to another.
When the story came to the wicked Nimrod who was a sorcery, a diviner and evil king, Nimrod decided to hijack it.
The conception and birth of Tammuz:
When Nimrod died, he appeared to his wife in a form of a spirit which impregnated the woman, this is where the story of mother and child originates from.
Quote: During the pagan festival of goddess Inannan also known as Eostre or Ishtar, Nimrod’s wife contacted and consulted the dead spirit of Nimrod on Easter, (the season when the pagan priest impregnated the virgins with his seed according the rituals of Ashtoreth or Eostre), and from that point; the spirit of Nimrod entered into her womb and impregnated her.
The child that emerged from that was called “Tammuz”.
Tammuz became the opposition which opposes the true Jewish Messiah:
The symbol of Tammuz was a letter T or the sign of the cross.
The crusification of the Jewish Messiah on the cross was a demonstration which demonstrated how the authority of Tammuz (letter T or the cross, Nimrod’s son) overcame the son of the Hebrew God.
Not knowing that God’s ultimate plan was to use the same cross as a symbol through which those who were held by the evil deeds of Nimrod (Babylon), will be atoned via the death of He (Son of God) who died on the cross.
