40 days of answered prayers is divided up in 4 segements:

Each segement contains 10 days, number ten which is equavalent to the 10 attributes (3 faculties and 7 emotions) which are contained in within every human soul.

In each segement of the 10 days, we pray, sanctify, repent, renounce our sins, purify and make a Teshuavah for those ten attributes which are concealed in our soul..

Segement 1:

In segement one which is made up of ten days, here our prayers focuses on the restoring of the body (Mindset- hearing, seeing and feelings) back into God’s will and blessing.
