Definition of anchor
a person, a principle, a method or thing that can be relied on for support, stability, or security; mainstay:

1:Â a device usually of metal attached to a ship or boat by a cable and cast overboard to hold it in a particular place by means of a fluke that digs into the bottom

2: a reliable or principal support: mainstay a quarterback who has been the anchor of the team’s offense

3: something that serves to hold an object firmly a bolt-and-nut cable anchor

4:Â an object shaped like a ship’s anchor

6:Â the member of a team (such as a relay team) that competes last.

- Those who are last (weak, not secure, not reliable) shall be first, and those who are first (strong, secure, reliable, faithful, servants of all), shall be last. Read Matthew 20:16
- Liken unto the parable of the wedding, where the best wine was served last
- The anchor performs it’s the job of security or securing last. After all, is done and said; all that which has been said and done must be secured or anchored at last.
