Why did God flood the world through Noah’s flood?
When the behaviors of selfishness, violence, greediness, bribe, sexual immorality etc, had reached it’s climax or highest pitch, God decided to baptise the world through Noah’s flood.
Genesis 6:11 says; The earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 So God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on earth.
…17 God said; and behold I Myself Am bringing floodwaters on the earth, to destroy from under heaven all flesh…
(this word all flesh also refers to the evil incarnation of the flesh)…
The word baptism derives from the Hebrew word called Mikvah:
The act of baptising with water derives from the Jewish, hebrew ancient cultural act known as Mikvah.
1 Peter 3:2-22 1 there is also an antitype which now saves us – baptism (Mikvah), (not removal of the filth of flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Yeshua, whom the Christian call Jesus.
Who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers have been made subject unto Him.
The purpose of baptism
The act of baptism (Mikvah), when it is done through the conviction of obeying God’s prophetic command, that same act can render powerless the negative energies which derive their evil influence from the fallen angels, unclean spirits, demons, authorities and powers of darkness.
Dipping into water:
The act of dipping into water, represents the act of reminding the forces of evil about the death of our saviour Yeshua Hamashiac, whom the Christians call Jesus.
Rising up from water:
The act of coming up from the water represents the renewed and purified life of the person who has been baptised, rising from the lower status of slavery, to the higher status of holiness. which reminds the forces of evil about the resurrection of God’s son, the purpose of His resurrection and the current location where He resides at the right hand side of His father in the heaven.
May The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob give you the victory you need as you do the baptism (Mikvah)!
