2 Samuel 3:1
Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David. Saul house waxed weaker, as David’s house got more stronger and stronger.
Who was Saul and what was his weakness?
Saul was a man that was motivated by the false voice of the people, encouraging him to step up to the platform of leadership, but Saul himself was lacking the moral values of a leader.
He loved the motivating unrealistic voice of the people (especially women), which praised his physical appearance and talents.
Saul’s weaknesses:
Saul never had positive role models that could help him to structure his moral inner ability, which is obedient, service oriented, and willing to take instructions from God.
Leaders like Saul have designed businesses, political policies etc, which opposes God’s moral values today and promotes immorality:
Amos 8:5 saying When shall the new moon be past, That we may sell grain? And the Sabbath, That we may trade wheat?
Making the ephah small and the shekel large, falsifying the scales by deceit……
Matthew 21:12-13
And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cash out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the seats of them that sold doves,
And said unto them, it is written My house shall be called the house of prayer; but he have made it a den of thieves…….
