Enki (pron.: /ˈɛŋki/) (Sumerian: dEN.KI(G)) is a god in Sumerian mythology, later known as Ea in Akkadian and Babylonian mythology.
He was originally patron god of the city of Eridu, but later the influence of his cult spread throughout Mesopotamia and to the Canaanites, Hittites and Hurrians.
He was the deity of crafts (gašam); mischief; god of deception (the one who changes the identity of things) water, seawater, lakewater (a, aba, ab), intelligence (gestú, literally “ear”) and creation (Nudimmud: nu, likeness, dim mud, make bear).
He manipulates the female and male aspects of the ‘Life Essence’, which he, as apparent alchemist (aphrodisiac–Hermaphroditic) of the gods, would masterfully mix, and conjure magic to influence man into creating mixed and confused several hermaphroditic beings that would live upon the face of the earth.
In the worship of this god, men and women exchanged roles, men dressing like women and women dressing like men (Androgyny).
The craft of mixing of genes, cloning, alcohol, crossbreeding that is forbidden in the Torah was the type of art which described the nature of the Enki deity.
The influence that the diety Enki has over the western culture:
In western world he became the god who inspires the scientific field of hermetic, alchemist, biotechnology, synthesis and genetic modification.
That art of magic and the mixture of bears, chemicals, toxic drinks that stimulated and birthed forth the erotic feelings of androgyny (hermaphroditic beings) were also done in the honor of this pagan god Enki.
