The kingdom of heaven is compared to a “pearl of great price (something of great value).
Why was Uganda called the pearl of Africa by the European explorers?

Uganda was given the name (the pearl of Africa), because in Uganda most of all the beauty, natural resources, climate and culture in form of a kingdom that the big continent of Africa possesses or represented, all of these attributes were compiled up in this one country called “Uganda”.

Matthew 13:45:

“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls.
When the merchants also known as European explorers or Colonial masters came to Africa, they were looking for a country in Africa where they will centralise their base which will increase their economic revenue,
Through their mission of exploration, that is when they discovered Uganda and it’s wonders.

Matthew 13:46 declares:
When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it!
The Europeans tried their level best to make Uganda their settling place, but they failed due to fact that; the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob was not going to let them turn Uganda into their ownership.
And on top of that the Baganda chiefs who had dealings with the British Colonial masters, they worked hard to secure most of Buganda land as the ownership of Buganda (as it is in the 1900 agreement of Buganda).

Explores who discovered Uganda:
The European who discovered Uganda were known as Explorers. Among these Explorers were

The word Explorer means:
A person who explores a new or unfamiliar area with the aim of turning that area into a colony or chartered company.
A person who explorers or surveys an area or region with the intentions of discovering the potential hidden in that area.

After their exploration they discovered and also agreed that; Uganda is the pearl of Africa where the hidden treasures, wonders, beauty, natural resources and potential of Africa is concealed.
