Dopamine is a neurotransmitter often referred to as the “chemical of reward.”
—A chemical released by neurons (nerve cells) to send signals to other nerve cells.
How does dopamine function?
Dopamine also helps regulate movement and emotional responses, and it enables us not only to see rewards, but to take action to move toward what rewards our actions.
When a person is craving, addicted, wanting to have sex, motivated, passionate, it is the dopamine which is at work at that exact point.
Dopamine is the motivation why we do things:
When you score a goal, get paid, praised, thanked for what one has done, hit a target, or accomplish a task, you receive a pleasurable hit of dopamine in your brain that tells you you’ve done a good job.
But you can also get a natural dose of dopamine when you perform acts of kindness toward others.
So the work of dopamine is to transmit pleasurable moments or signals to the brain, signals of happiness, excitement or when we do something enjoyable.
Yet there are two ways on how things we consider to be pleasurable are transmitted in our mindset:
The 1st one is the immoral way:
Immoral way – is that which finds its reward or pleasure in selfish activities that puffs up one’s self-ego, activities like; pursuing of a career with the aim of becoming rich, love of money etc.
Dopamine influencing the person into the state of doing negative things:
When a person participates in the activities of doing things like;
Drinking of alcohol, having premarital sex, fornication, adultery, competing or wanting to be first, using of drugs, pedophile, hate, racism, going to wild parties, listening to hate speech of prejudice, propaganda, watching porn, etc,
that person’s dopamine will start to motivate and stimulate the person’s nerve cells, intuition, desire, passions -(brain center of pleasure), into the state of wanting to get reward, enjoyment, excitement, ecstacy, euphoria and kick out of the act of participating in such immoral activities.
In this case- the lust of doing things that are immoral or evil in nature becomes the passion or driving force which motivates a person’s euphoria.
For those who frequently entertain immorality:
The dopamine also plays the role of stimulating the different temptations of immorality in the human body,
Different types of temptations like;
Wet dreams, addictions, lusts, sexual passions, forces of negative energies, addictions of smoking, misusing of drugs, sleepwalking etc, are all stimulated by dopamine
Dopamine stimulating a person’s emotions into the state of doing positive things:
Whereas the 2nd one is the moral way
Moral way – is that which finds reward or pleasure in things done with the aim of making other people’s lives better.
Acts of; generosity, forgiveness, reconciliation, team work, kindness, organising cultural activities and running businesses which leads to society improvement, rewarding of good deeds in a community etc-,
People living in a society where good and positive deeds are rewarded, supported, encouraged and justified, social environments which are in susch a state plays the role of cultivating a type of dopamine which motivates people in doing more good deeds.
