Commandment – What is a commandment?

A commandment is a divine rule or command which calls for one’s obedience, attention, subordinate character, and observation.
A commandment is that which activates, initiates and stimulates a kinetic energy.
A servant is a subordinate person who is willing to obey, serve, submit and quickly act towards the commandments or kinetic energy coming from His Lord or master.
Exodus 27:20:
“And you shall command the children of Israel…notice what is written – not ask, but command!
John 14:15
If you love me, keep My commandments
<The soldiers were obedient to their commander in chief during the entire battle against their enemies>.
Numbers 9:23:
23 At the command of the Lord they remained encamped, and at the command of the Lord they journeyed;
they kept the charge of the Lord, at the command of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
During the era or time when the God of Israel was elevating Israel,
bring His people from the slave control of their enemies, into the state of possising their spiritual identity, inheritance and blessings of their forefathers,
God always used His commandments to achieve the ultimate agenda of His will.
1 Kings 17:9:
“Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for
Exodus 23:20-2120
“Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.
21 Beware of Him and obey His voice;
do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him.
God’s Salvation comes to an army (a camp of obedient soldiers) who are ready to obey every commandment of their Master.
Exodus 12:51:
And it came to pass, on that very same day, that the Lord brought the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt according to their armies
(He brought them out of Egypt using His commandments).
Exodus 12:41:
And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years—on that very same day—it came to pass that all the armies of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt.
They set up camp in the order of their obedience towards God’s commandments:
Numbers 1:52:
The children of Israel shall pitch their tents, everyone by his own camp, everyone by his own standard, according to their armies (according to the commandments which were given to them by their leadership or commander);
The identity of God’s armies in the Stars – universe, raising up to fight against their enemies:
Judges 5:20:
20 They fought from the heavens; The stars from their courses fought against Sisera.
Matthew 11:12:
And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.
Obadiah 1:21: – Esau’s mountain is judged:
Then saviors shall come to Mount Zion To judge the mountains of Esau, And the kingdom shall be the Lord’s.
The aim why God’s prepares His army through His commandments, is to bring them in the status of activating their weapons which are located in God:
2 Corinthians 10:4-6:
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
