Face-to-face interaction (less often, face-to-face communication or face-to-face discourse) is a concept in sociology, linguistics, media and communication studies describing social interaction carried out without any mediating technology.
Face-to-face interaction is defined as the mutual influence of individuals’ direct physical presence with his/her body language.
Positive outcomes of face to face interactions:
Face to face interactions enables a society to develop and also overcome it’s weaknesses via the exchanging of positive input, which meets the needs, finds positive solutions, discover hidden talents, skills, and also solves the problems of their members.
Negative outcomes which can derive from face to face interaction:
There are face to faec interactions which can lead to negative peer presure in one’s life.
There are social groups, clubs, oragnization, companies etc, in a society which derive their agenda from the immoral behaviors of love of money, racism, hate speech, descrimination, antisemitism, false democracy, extreme feminism, white supremacy etc, picking their victims from the opportunities of face to face interactions.
Face-to-face interaction is one of the basic elements of the social system, forming a significant part of individual socialization and experience gaining throughout one’s lifetime.
Similarly it is also central to the development of various groups and organizations composed of those individuals.
