Africa is the world’s second-largest, richest and second-most-populous continent.
At about 30.2 million km² (11.7 million sq mi) including adjacent islands, it covers six percent of the Earth’s total surface area and 20.4 percent of the total land area.
With 1.0 billion people (as of 2009,), it accounts for about 14.72% of the world’s human population.
The people that settled in Africa were the ancient descendants of Ham (Cush) the son of Noah. Noah begot three sons, Japhet, Shem and Ham. Ham the great grand father of Africa begot Cush, (the word “Cush” meaning black, dark skinned people).
Cush begot Nimrod who was in charge of building the tower of Babel in Genesis 10:6-10.
The sons of Ham were great men who were skilled in civil engineering, the cultural arts of dancing, music, singing, the ancient art of science, astrology, magic and pyramid buildings. They began to build cities like Babylon, Mizraim (Egypt), phut (Put), Nineveh etc.
Due to the wealth and the hidden treasures that were hidden in Africa, the sons of Ham who were skilled in sorcery, astrology, and spiritualism, started to discover the spiritual value of Africa via the prophetical Oral stories which were told by Adam, Seth, Enoch and Noah.
(Africa was sustained and supplied by the the river pishon, where there was gold bdelium, onyx stones as it is written in Genesis 2:11-12).
Africa became the land where the sons of Ham, the sons Cush settled And also possessed as their own possession.
The continent is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, both the Suez Canal and the Red Sea along the Sinai Peninsula to the northeast, the Indian Ocean to the southeast, and the Atlantic Ocean to the west.
It was colonized mainly in the 18th and 19th centuries by Europeans from Europe, and now comprises of independent nations.
Most of the African nations have celebrated their 50th independence in the year of 2010, 2011 and 2012.
