The ark of the covenant was a gold plated wooden box which was located in the Holies of Holy.
(The Holies of Holy being the location that you came into after going through the Holy place).
Inside the ark of the Covenant there was a bowl of persevered manna, (Manna which the children of Israel ate during their wondering in the wilderness).
Also in the Ark of the Covenant there was a rod of Aaron and the two Tablets containing the Ten commandments that God gave to Moses on Mountain Sinai.
On the Top of the ark of the the Covenant there was a pair of cherubim (angelic beings designed out of gold), with out-stretched wings that covered over the the center of the ark of the covenant.
Now, my question is! what is the spiritual meaning of the ark of covenant?
The ark of the covenant stands for the spiritual state of the heart of a person that is in a deeper covenant relationship with God.
The two tablets with the ten commandments stands for the instructions of Torah, or the commandments of God, which becomes the moral structure of those that are in covenant with God.
The rod of Aaron which was in the ark of the covenant represents the prophetic spiritual leadership of God, which governs, teaches, instructs and mentors God’s people.
The bowl of manna stands for a reminder which says; that even in times of drought, those who love God will never starve or die of poverty, because God will sustain and feed them at all times.
The two cherubim on the top of the ark stands for God’s protection and covering, which protects and covers His people that serve God via His principles which pertains to His covenant.
