Charles Robert Darwin, FRS (born 12 February 1809 – died 19 April 1882) was an English naturalist.
He established that all species of life have descended over time from common ancestors, and proposed the scientific theory that this branching pattern of evolution resulted from a process that he called natural selection.
Darwin published his theory with compelling evidence for evolution in his 1859 book On the Origin of Species, overcoming scientific rejection of earlier concepts of transmutation of species.
Darwin used scientific convincing terms to come to his conclusion that human beings are not created by God, but they are just a mere product of Evolution.
Charles Robert Darwin established the doctrine which says that; “human beings derive from an organism which was evolved into fish-lizard, and through the circle of life it evolved into a monkey, and from the form of a monkey, it turned into a human being”.
Quote: “The primitive early stages belonged to the black race which was more in a monkey form, as time went by, humans progressed into a more civilized state which belonged to the superior race of the Europeans”.
By the 1870s the western scientific community and much of the general public had accepted evolution as a fact.
However, many favoured competing explanations and it was not until the emergence of the modern evolutionary synthesis (Big Bang theory) in 1930s to the 1950s which supported and empowered the basic mechanism of evolution.
Promoting of racism:
Darwin also stated that through the process of evolution that there are types of species (human beings) that have degenerated from a bad and primitive form of life style which is contrary to the European race, thus proclaiming that the races of Africa, Asia and the origin of America which were colonized by Europe are spicies of primitive form.
Darwin’s ideolog gave justification and more strength to the concept of race biology, Racism and scientific racism
In modified form, Darwin’s scientific discovery became the unifying theory of life defined by sciences, explaining the diversity of life..
