Now let me just use the example of eating pork. There are christians who believe in Jesus Christ (Yeshua), but they love to eat pork, and they can also justify pork eating by quoting scriptures from the new testament.
But Jesus Yeshua Hamashiach as a Jew, he never ate pork, not only because he was a Jew, but also because God refers to pork as unclean animal (not suitable for eating).
Today doctors and scientist who do not even believe in God will tell you that pork meat is not good for eating, why? Because it contains toxins that are poisonous to human health.
Now; my question is; How did these scientist come up with the understanding of knowing that pork is bad?
Well! It came to them through academic knowledge (scientific research, studies and learning).
Now; when one listens to the scientist and decides to stop eating pork meat, is he or she doing it because God commanded or is he doing it because it came to him by intellectual knowledge?
The answer to that question I think is this; that person is doing it because God commanded, but the difference Between him and the Jews is that; Jews are obligated to keep the laws of God as a commandment and obligation.
Jews know that every thing that God commanded them to do is for their good (it makes them to prosper, to live in divine health etc).
Those who are not Jews have cultures and traditions that have rebelled against the whole system and laws of God, but through the mercies of God, Yeshua (Jesus) becomes a door way that makes this knowledge of God common and available for all cultures and traditions.
Our scientist, our intellectual academic scholars, and our prophets are starting to discover the importance of God’s laws, and they are also telling us to return back to that which works. (though some scientist won’t admit that they are quoting the bible, they always claim that; “they have discovered”…).
The laws of God kept by the Jews are not a burden, but; they are a sate of systematic laws that makes our lives better. A Jew is obligated to keep all those laws, because if he doesn’t, then the whole world will divert and go astray from God’s truth.
To those who are not Jews, knowledge, prophetic truth, intellectual studies and scientific discoveries will bring us to the understanding of the importance of keeping God’s laws.
Let me hope that this has answered part of your question?
Go back to Read the part 1 of this article:
Christians keep God’s laws and commandments because of the prophetic conviction and promises of God which they come across through the bible, but A Jew is obligated to keep God’s laws as an obligation.
