Dancehall reggae producer Philip Fatis Burrell is dead.
Fatis as he is also call is one of the veteran producer from the island of Jamaica the home of dancehall and reggae music.
In 1989, he founded the now very famous Xterminator record labelalong with the Vena Label.
He has worked with some of dancehall and reggae music top artiste, such as Luciano, Sizzla, Everton Blender, Ras Shiloh and Turbulence. He has also worked with the drummer from the Sly Dunbar and the Firehouse Crew.
Burrell was born in Trenchtown, Kingston, Jamaica. He spent part of his childhood in England before returning to Jamaica as a teenager. His first production was Sugar Minott’s “More Dogs To The Bone” in 1984, starting the Kings & Lions record label in the same year.
He was admitted to the University Hospital of the West Indies in Jamaica after suffering a heart attack. He spent almost two weeks there unitl he pass away on December 3, 2011
