Week 4: Netzach – Victory/Endurance/Determination:
Omer counting day 24.
Compassion – Endurance (the beauty/harmony/compassion side of Endurance) Tiferet – Netzach in Hebrew.
Any body with selfish motives and ambitions can still be able to endure pain and hardship so that he or she may achieve his own goal.
That’s why your endurance must be directed to the purpose of developing bad habits into good ones.
Compassion and Endurance together will enable you to share your good qualities with others, so that you are willing to see others grow and become better people, yet when at the same time you yourself are in pursuit of your goals.
Your Compassion for others will be able to make you sensitive, so that when you come in the times of endurance, this will also give the opportunity to share your love with the people that are easy to love and those that are hard to get along with.
Ask yourself:
When I am determined to accomplish and fulfill something for my self, do I become more selfish or am I open minded towards other people’s ideas and contribution towards what I am doing?
Do my victories make me gracious (willing to share the secret behind my success), or do I become more bossy, using the opportunity to make others my slaves?
Exercise of the day:
Be patient and take time to attend to those that make you impatient.
