Week 5: Hod – Humility/Devotion:
Omer counting day 32.
Victory – Humility (the Victory/Endurance/Determination side of Humility) Netzach – Hod in Hebrew.
The strength of your humility lies in within the endurance that enables you to focus towards a victorious end.
Humility will enable you to integrate and mingle with people of other opinions and ideas.
If you do not have a determination that anchors your humility, you will end up mingling and giving up your own godly standards, so that you may please others in the name of Humility.
Endurance and Determination together with Humility will allow your character to be able to mingle, to seek and find other people that think like you in un expected place.
In life we need to have humility, so that we may be able to discover new ways and new relationships in strange places.
But we also need endurance and determination to go with it, so that we may continue to focus on the reality of our godly commission.
Ask yourself:
Is my character capable of reaching out for others that are in need of my help, even if they were in a surrounding that was morally corrupt, and dangerous?
If yes, then ask yourself; Is my determination towards my will or purpose in life strong enough, so that when I find my self in a place where I am physically busy, and needed, can I still be faithful to my service towards God’s purpose for my Life?
Does my Humility make me spiritually strong or does it make me compromise my spiritual standards?
Exercise of the day:
Help someone that is emotionally down and physically sad, but also remember to correct, and to rebuke them gently, if that is what they need to make their situation better.
