The month of March and it’s meaning
The name of March comes from Latin Martius, the first month of the earliest Roman calendar.
It was named for Mars, the Roman god of war who was also regarded as a guardian of agriculture and an ancestor of the Roman people through his sons Romulus and Remus. His month Martius was the beginning of the season for both farming and warfare.
The March equinox on the 20th or 21st marks the astronomical beginning of spring in the Northern Hemisphere and the beginning of autumn in the Southern Hemisphere.
The month was considered to a month of warfare due to the fact that during spring time this is when the month of Nisan when the Jewish feast of Passover also occurs, (falling in the month of March or April in spring).
During this time the gods of Rome were always in opposition with the plans that the God of Israel had for his people, and thus war was always declared to defend the gods of Rome from the God of Abraham (Israel).
Spring commemorates the season of redemption (Passover), the time when Israel obtains salvation, redeeming God’s people from the boundage of slavery, sin, dictatorship and evil leadership. (During this season of Passover – spring time, this is also when the Jews were divered from the captivity of Egypt).
The Romans being the type of people that built their empire and status of wealth on owning slaves, so the month of March (spring time) became a time when they sacrificed to the Roman god of war, so that they may continue to own their slaves.
As God said to Pharoah the king of Egypt; let My people go”, during Spring time when Passover is celebrated, so the same sound waves echoes into the ears of the gods of Rome, so that they also may Let God’s people go..
