Exodus 17:8 Amalek came down and fought with Israel….
The word Amalek means Shaphek (Shafek) in Hebrew.
And this word “Shafek” means to doubt, unbelief, to be in a state where one’s mindset is attacked by fear, thoughts of torment, terror, evil dreams of terrorists.
Amalek – The state of lacking trust and faith because one is filled with negative thoughts that stops him/her from believing or trusting the words which are spoken to him or her via God’s commandments…
Amalek being the state of mindset –
which turns the people who are supposed to be united, into fault finders, gossipers, nagging characteristics etc,
towards their own protocol of leadership or leadership structure.
Who does the Amalek target most?
Their target always aims mostly at the gullible and wantonness attitudes in a group, home, family, household, or community.
How do I get rid of the spirit of doubt?
By walking in total obedience, agreement, support, being in a helping attitude and in tune with God’s commandments or Mitzvah.
Exodus 17:11:
And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
And Moses’ hand became heavy;
So they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat down on it.
The priests or (helpers) – helps out by holding up Moses hands:
Exodus 17:12:
And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on side and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady untill the going down of the sun.M
Moses’ hands – being supported or helped represents the obedience which puts what God commanded Moses into physical action.
Joshua 1:8:
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it.
For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Revelation 22:14:
14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
Its the male militant attitude that defeats the spirit of Amalek which has attacked a community or a houaehold:
Exodus 17:13:
Joshua & his army (military system covered by Moses’ spiritual covering)
Exodus 17:13
So Joshua defeated the Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword…
Exodus 17:14-16:.
14 Then the Lord said to Moses,
“Write this for a memorial in the book and recount it in the hearing of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.
” 15 And Moses built an altar and called its name, The-Lord-Is-My-Banner;
16 for he said, “Because the Lord has sworn: the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.”
