Favor, Favour, (see spelling differences) or Favors, may refer to:

Favor is to regard (someone or something) as most likely to succeed or win. To support someone, so that he or she may succeed or gain the desires of his heart.

: to prefer (someone) especially in an unfair way : to show that you like or approve of (someone) more than others. 


Favor is the act of providing someone with information which increases his advantages to succeed, to win or to have luck.


To open up a door of opportunities for someone.

The word ‘grace’ literally means ‘favour’ In Hebrew it is CHEN from a root word CHANAN – to bend or stoop in kindness to another as a superior to an inferior.
In Greek it is CHARIS and has the idea of graciousness in manner or action, it comes from a root word CHAIRO to be cheerful, to be happy.

Finding favor in Hebrew means gaining approval, acceptance, or special benefits or blessings. 
There is also a close association among favor, grace, and mercy, which are sometimes used to translate the same Hebrew and Greek words (such as hen [ej] and charis [cavri”]).


The act of tithing (giving of his ten percent to God) has opened doors of financial increase and favor over his life.


<God’s peope who were going through a time of false accusations, oppression and mistreatment from their enemies, always gained favor via the act of offering up prayers unto to their God, fulfilling of certain mitzvot during the month of Adar or God’s feasts of (purim), passover, pentecost – Shavout, Chanukkah, Jubilee etc>.

Favor is the grace (or positive energy) which stimulates the emotions of the people into the state of wanting to do good, to support, to be merciful, to acknowledge, to approve or to show kindness towards the person who posses the favor. 

The energy of favor which is upon one’s life can even bend the evil heart of an evil king, evil leader or individual, into the state of being gracious towards the person who possesses the favor of God.

One saying says; I did not show you favor because of your talents, but I showed you favor because of your good moral traits that I perceived in your talent.
