The word to bless, blessings or to speak a blessing means; To empower someone with positive energies, which will enable him/her to prosper, to find favor, to succeed, to make the right choices, and also be able to escape the snares of a curse.
To release energies of success, favor, prosperity, divine health etc via the act of prophecying, praying, complimenting or by orally speaking into someone’s life.
To be blessed” means ‘to be favored by God’. Blessings therefore are directly associated with God and come from God.
To direct or put someone’s thoughts, ideas, mindset (head) into the path of God’s favor or imagination.
A blessing (also used to refer to bestowing of such) is the infusion of something with holiness, spiritual redemption, divine will, God’s spiritual presence, or one’s hope or approval.
Thus to express a blessing is like bestowing a wish on someone that they will experience the favor of God.
“May you have a blessed Day”, therefore can also be translated as: “May you experience the favor of God during this Day.”
God always elected a certain kind of leadership which He always used to bestow blessings upon His people.
According to the biblical law of Moses (Torah), prophets, Cohen (priests), Rabbis, were elected to play the role of blessings God’s people.
In the new testament, when God wanted the other 72 nations to also partake of His blessing which was already upon the nation of Israel, 12 (twelve apostles) were elected by Yeshua to play the role of blessing the gentile nations.
Blessings are activated via the act of obeying God’s commandment (mitzvah), and keeping God’s holy feasts which are written in the Torah.
Due to the fact that most of the spheres of life (earthly environments, energies, cosmic energy, cosmos, human activities, sexual energies, immoral behaviors etc), have contaminated the negative side effects of Adam’s sin, that is the reason why one needs a blessing for every activity that he/she embarks on in life.
