The God of Israel as He is called in the Hebrew Bible, He is the God who called Abraham to come of out the land of Haran, so that He may transform him into the father of many nations.
God in Judaism is generally understood to be the absolute one, indivisible and incomparable being who is the ultimate cause of all existence.
The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob:
Judaism holds that the national God of Israel is the God of Abraham, Isaac, And Jacob, also known as the God of the Jewish nation who is the guide of the world,
Creator of the world and universe, who delivered the Israelites from slavery in Egypt during the season of Passover, and gave them the Law of Moses at the biblical Mount of Sinai during the season of Pentecost (Shavuot) as described in the Torah.
Old Testament:
The moral instructions or commandments of God which are written down in the Torah, were given to the 12 tribes of Israel (the Jewish nation), the descendants of Abraham the father of Isaac and Jacob.
Why is God addressed as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the Torah scriptures?
Due to the fact that there were many deities worshiped as gods on the earth, that is the reason why the God of Israel was addressed as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, so that He could be differentiated from the other pagan small gods.
Through the religion of Judaism (the law of Moses, God’s moral teachings, & instructions) also known as the Torah, was given to the Jews (Israelites) first as their own inheritance, and then to the entire world as laws of moral instructions.
Abraham also inherited the merit of governing the region of the underworld where the deceased righteous wait for their time of Resurrection.
New Testament:
The Torah (God’s moral teachings & instructions) are compiled up into two compartments, the first one is the old testament (which starts from the book of Genesis and finishes in the book of Malachi.
The second compartment is the New Testament, which begins with the book of Matthew and finishes with the book of Revelation
